Instructions on Where to meet your Taxi driver (in Order to save money on parking)

There are 2 places your Driver can meet you
1. The Express Set Down
(The advantages of meeting here are :-
Its fast to get to as its directly outside the Terminal

The disadvantages are its £7 pounds for 10 minutes of waiting time then 1 per a minute after that !

If you wish to save money £7 each way we strongly advise you meet your driver in the Mid Stay car park you can get there by catching a Free regular Coach (comes every 10 minutes) that goes there from the Terminal To the Car Park

HOW TO AVOID PAYING THE £7 AIRPORT ENTRY FEE ,This can be done by catching the Free Coach to the Mid Stay Car park

This Coach is Regular and Free and will save you £7 so we strongly Advise you meet your driver There
Please go to the Information desk in the terminal and ask for directions to the Bus Stop for the Coach to the Mid Stay car park .We get 1 hour free parking here

PLEASE MEET YOUR DRIVER in ZONE D On Terminal Road North CM24 1RW also know as “ Express Set Down” on Floor 1 ”

The Signs within the building however confusingly refer to the Express set down as the “Free Set Down “ with the Signs inside the airport.
The “Free Set down “ is Also known as “ The Pickup and Drop Off point for normal cars” this is directly outside the main entrance of the Airport on floor 1.
(*Please do not confuse the Express set down with the “Taxi and Coach pick up drop off point” that is on Floor 0 or the Orange Car park)

Please note that you will need to either catch a lift / elevator to floor 1 as when you land and exit the plane you will normally land and be on floor 0 .

If you struggle to find the “Free Set Down “ / “Express Set Down please ask for assistance at the Information desk

Please contact your driver when your at the drop off point (You can also contact him on Whatsapp) WE STRONGLY recommend you call him when your at the “Free Set Down “

*We advise you contact the driver when your at the Express set down point so as to ensure you pay no more than £7 for parking as there is a 10 minute time limit before the parking fee increases rapidly.

How to get to the drop off point ALSO know as the Free Set Down

  1. Catch a lift or elevator to the 1st floor (The highest floor of the building) Please note you will be on Floor 0 when you exit the plane
  2. Your driver will be parked 1 mile away and will get to you in 5 to 8 minutes
  3. Exit the main entrance (you should be able to see the sky and this view stansted_what_they_should_see[1]
  4. Contact your driver once you know what row you are on (i.e ie Zone A ,Zone B , Zone C , Zone D and Zone E)
  5. You will then see Different Zones out side the terminal ie Zone A ,Zone B , Zone C , Zone D and Zone E) please note (the Zones inside the Airport building are not the same as the zones outside

Please call the Driver when you get your bags and are at the Express set down and are ready to leave the airport by using  the contact details above using your phone or a Payphone within the Airport Terminal building and your driver will Come to the “Express Set Down” (The Pickup Point) *

*It will take your driver around 5-8 mins to get to the Express set down as he is not allowed to wait within the Airport complex

Your driver is only allowed to wait at the “Express Down for 10 minutes before the parking fee increases rapidly .

So please call the driver and ask him to come and collect you once you are at the express down so you save money on Parking
